ETSN YOUTH SUMMIT 2022

JOIN THE YOUTH SUMMIT AT ECHA 2022

Talent, giftedness and soft skills
31 August – 3 September 2022, The Hague

For the 4th time (Vienna, Dublin, Porto and the Hague), the ETSN Youth Summit will be held in parallel with the biannual ECHA Conference. This year, the 6th Youth Summit will take place from 31 August – 3 September in The Hague, The Netherlands. The Youth Summit will be organised in collaboration with the European Talent Support Network (ETSN) and the ETSN Youth Platform.

The ETSN consists of 26 (Associated) European Talent Centres and more than 450 (Associated) European Talent Points. Each Talent Centre can delegate (on average) 2-5 students (or youngsters/young adults who don’t study anymore) in the age range of 14-30 years old (for students younger than 18 years a chaperone is needed).

During the ETSN Youth Summit participants will get the change to exchange ideas and experiences with a culturally diverse group of participants from countries all over the world. The topics are related to the summit’s main topic: talent, giftedness or soft skills, and will be of personal relevance for the participating youngsters and young adults. This will include for example interactive workshops (i.e. short projects or challenges in which they work together to solve problems) or lectures about self awareness, emotional support and personal growth. Participants can also present something in connection with their own country (“lightning talks”) and participate in cultural events. Additionaly, the participants are invited to join the opening ceremony on 31 August and the plenary sessions with international keynotes during the ECHA2022 Conference. During the closing ceremony some participants will share their Youth Summit experiences with the ECHA2022 Conference participants.

APPLICATION

Deadline: 18 July 2022

Youngsters and young adults who enjoy and are interested in the topics mentioned above can apply by sending a motivation letter to the (Associated) European Talent Centre of their country. If your country does not have a Talent Centre, please send your motivation letter to echa2022@ntcn.eu. Your motivation letter should be sent no later than 18 July 2022. If you do not apply through a Talent Centre, you should be above 18.

Please see below for the list of (Associated) European Talent Centres.

The Talent Centres choose who will be delegated and will send the delegates a recommendation letter and  registration instructions including a link to the online registration by 1 August 2022. The recommendation letter should be uploaded by the participant when they register. Registrations needs to be submitted by 15 August 2022.

Before applying check with your Talent Centre whether there are still available places, because some Talent Centres already initiated or even finished their selection of delegates. If that is the case in your country, please send your motivation letter to echa2022@ntcn.eu. If your application is approved, you will receive information on how you can register and pay for the Youth Summit yourself. If you do not apply through a Talent Centre, you should be above 18.

If you don’t have the contact information of the Talent Centre representative of your country (or another contact person for the ETSN Youth Summit), please send an email to the conference secretariat to get the contact information of the Talent Centre representative of your country.
